How to beat the giant piranha boss
The giant piranha is the second-island gate. A source-linked solo strategy: movement, smaller enemies and weapon choices.
Make leech bait first: a community guide says to hand three leeches from the second island to a quest character. For the fight itself, launch-period players report success by circling the island, shooting while moving and dealing with smaller piranhas. Use this as a starting strategy; it predates the 1.0.12 rebalance.
