QUICK ANSWER

Effective September 10, 2026. This policy applies to howtofishgameguide.site and explains hosting, optional analytics, cookies and correspondence.

Website operator and contact

This is an independent information website. For privacy questions or requests, use the email address in our Terms of Service.

Hosting

Cloudflare processes technical request information, including IP addresses, browser details and requested URLs, to deliver and secure this website. We do not offer accounts or take payments on this site.

Google Analytics 4

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, engagement and traffic sources. Google receives information such as page URLs, browser and device details and network information. Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_238KEL0C5N to distinguish visits. We do not intentionally send names or email addresses as analytics events. Our tag disables Google signals and advertising personalization signals.

Microsoft Clarity

With your consent, Microsoft Clarity helps us understand usage through interaction metrics, heatmaps and session replays. It can capture page content, clicks, scrolling and pointer movements, along with device and browser information. Replays reconstruct website interactions; they are not camera recordings. Clarity may use identifiers and cookies such as _clck and _clsk. We use it to improve navigation and content, and send denied advertising-storage consent. Microsoft's processing is explained in its Privacy Statement.

Your analytics choice

Google Analytics and Clarity do not load until you select Accept analytics. You can reject them and still use the site. On the production site, open Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting after acceptance stops further tracking on the reloaded page and attempts to clear these services' first-party analytics cookies. It does not erase data already received by providers. Your browser stores your preference under htf-analytics-consent-v1 until you change it or clear site storage. If storage is unavailable, you may be asked again.

Search and external links

Guide filtering runs in your browser. With analytics enabled, interaction information may still be captured by analytics services. Do not put personal or sensitive information into search fields or page URLs. External websites have separate privacy practices.

Retention and international processing

Analytics retention depends on the service and project settings; this policy does not promise a fixed period. Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare may process information in countries other than yours under their published policies and safeguards. Clearing browser storage does not automatically delete previously collected service data.

Email and privacy requests

If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them to respond. We retain correspondence as reasonably needed for that purpose and applicable obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us using the address in our Terms of Service. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location. We do not intentionally solicit personal information from children.

Policy changes

We update this policy when our services or data practices change. The effective date appears above.
